“Building Your Personal Brand as a Graphic Designer”

I love the articles on HOW. It’s one of my favorite design sites to find perceptive articles and free design book excerpts. I recently read an article that was posted not too long ago by Roberto Blake broaching the subject of self-promotion. It’s difficult for many people to market themselves without feeling like their tooting their own horns. It can also be very time consuming. However, Blake argues that creative professionals are naturally geared to succeed in a content-driven economy, thus it is imperative for creatives to boost their brand identity by promoting themselves using their talents despite these obstacles. Creatives should not be afraid to tell their stories and share their work. “Quality work deserves to be shared.”
